The Paris Church of San Juan is an unmistakable landmark of Arucas. The church was built in 1909. The opposite side of the old town hall, was built in 1875, is the leafy town park which boasts many rare tropical trees.
The Canary Islands' largest rum factory was built in 1884. The factory has a museum devoted to the history and distillation method of rum.
